Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru

While traveling through the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Tambomachay, Peru, the artist met a Native man who spoke of a consciousness without race that existed long ago, which he referred to as the 'Grandfathers.' These ancestral spirits had the tools to balance the earth's natural forces by working with the elements.

One example is how they were guided to build a central water temple atop a pure source of spring water that runs until today. From one stream the water was split into two, representing the dichotomy of life, and then again divided into four, representing the elements. The seed that the agriculturalists planted there became the super seed for entire Incan empire.
